We are committed to building a workforce of talented, professional and dedicated Papua New Guineans to manage our business for the long-term. Through systematic training and on-the-job experience our workforce is building the intellectual and skills capacity to sustain long-term careers in the oil and gas industry in a wide range of disciplines, from engineering, operations, maintenance, safety, health and environment, to finance, controls and public and government affairs.
A key component of our National Content strategy involves creating opportunities for local businesses to grow and prosper. Representative landowner companies which were formed to represent geographic areas within the Project’s footprint are helping to provide business operations and logistics support. Local businesses, many of which were established with our help, are benefiting by supplying goods and services to our facilities and operations as well as receiving training to build capacity.
