ExxonMobil PNG, operator of PNG LNG Project, today donated some critical life-saving medical equipment to the National Department of Health’s National COVID-19 Preparedness Taskforce to support an isolation facility that is being set-up at the Port Moresby General Hospital to manage confirmed coronavirus cases in the event the disease reaches the country.
The equipment consists of two pairs of defibrillators and ventilators. Both are significant equipment during emergencies.
The company also donated other locally useful medical supplies such as ECG electrodes, syringes, nebulizer masks and snake antivenom, scalpel, and the sterile distal end.
