The PNG LNG Project will be giving early consideration to training and development to prepare local workforces to meet the Project's needs. Workforce development will address the two key Project phases:

1. Project Construction and Drilling - ensuring that a skilled workforce is in place to meet construction and drilling needs.
2. Operations - developing the long term workforce in time for production operations.

The Project's workforce requirements, during the construction phase and ramp-up to operations, will represent a significant draw on local labor, and in particular skilled labour. Forecasts of demand will be shared with Government, relevant local industries and employer groups and strategies developed to manage this issue.
